If you’re British and you haven’t been buying the great music we’ve been putting out these last few weeks, then I really can’t consider you a Brit – unless you were involved with the Olympics.
Let’s start off with the EPs. Well, we have Hoodwink and Multiplier; need I say more? Hoodwink’s EP totally blows every other British EP this year out of the pond and the remixes on this are to die for. HARIKIKI, Disgraceland, Kreecha: that’s pretty much the Best Of British in one EP. Disgraceland and HARIKIRI have put out some really different music this year which hasn’t gone unnoticed: if Dave Nada appreciates your music then what else can you want?
Putting that aside we have Multiplier’s new EP. It was what I expected from him to be honest. I mean, it’s Multiplier – and I say that in a good way. Moombahcore and Moombahton. I personally wouldn’t listen to this myself at home since I have been listening to this kind of music for a year and a half, but having said that, it’s definitely the kind of stuff you drop when you have the crowd in the palm of your hand:
And then there’s the amazing singles I’ve been hearing this week. Kreecha had a neat little track, only a preview for now but it was really smooth. The mastering could of been tightened up but as I said, it’s a preview, we can expect this to change. Then we have a track from The 13th Tribe and Hostage. These guys are established British musicians, I don’t need to go into detail about their stuff, just enjoy it:
And today I got a new follower on Soundcloud, being bored to death I clicked on his page. You heard it from me first: this guy is going to have a big single/EP out on a Moombahton label this year:
