I thought I’d balance out all the moombahcore that I’ve been been posting lately with some smooth soul, chill, or whatever you all feel like calling it today.
I Don’t Wanna Be Right – Tactic
First up is Tactic. I posted their track “Grindin On Me” a few days ago and wasn’t content to just post one track by him. Luther Ingram has really been done proud in this track. Nothing has been tampered with, there are no obnoxious tribal drums over the vocals like I’ve heard in so many other remixes of classing songs. Tactic has really made this track so smooth and elegant, and – I think this is a moombahton first – made things flow faster than in the original.
Cassanova (Naffz Remix) – Ultimate Kaos
Next is a passionate remix of “Cassanova” by Naffz. Short and sweet, if you have a lovemaking playlist then be sure to include this one in it.
Fortune Cookie – Teen Wolf & Shelco Garcia
When I saw that Teen Wolf and Shelco Garcia put out a new track I expected an absolute banger, and while I was half-correct, there are great airy moombahchill breakdowns in this song that fit so well with the heavier elements. A while ago David Heartbreak asked the moombahton community how he could blend moombahsoul and moombahcore, and I think he needs to listen to this song for inspiration. Get it before the download limit is reached.
It Was All A Dream – SPRKLFXXX
Finishing us off is David Beltran‘s ‘Ode to Zombies and Skeletons’ as vocalized by Biggie. So simple and so clean, this track is eerily upsetting (especially when you think about the story behind it). For those of you that don’t know, he was supposed to play a gig in Chicago on his birthday, invited his friends out, and got to the club to find that he’d been bumped without so much as a word of warning. On his birthday. I know I say this a lot, but seriously show this guy some love in the comments.
