One thing I really love about moombahton is the blend between cumbia (latin sound) and more typical electro sounds. If you’d told me a year ago that you could combine maracas, tin drums and lasers and have them sound great, I’d have told you to come talk to me once your acid trip was over.
I liked the first track so much that I want to say a little bit about it. It’s by a duo from Madison, USA named Mad Major Melvin (their soundcloud can be found here). The track is playful and energetic, it has that special something that makes you want to dance, and the lasers don’t let you forget its roots in EDM.
