What I’m Doing Now

November 29, 2012 · Looking Glass Network

Hey guys,

So yes, I realize that I don’t update this thing any more. I’m not lazy, just busy. I started writing for another blog, Salacious Sound, finished my research project at Vancouver General Hospital, and moved to Montreal. A big, big thank you to all of you who’ve read 110 before, you opened up a lot of doors for me and really helped me grow. Hopefully I was able to turn you all on to artists that you wouldn’t have heard of otherwise.

If you want to keep up with what I’m doing now or send me tracks to post on Salacious Sound, here are the relevant links:

This track is neat, it’s a pretty nice interpretation of moombahsoul if ya ask me.

Boo! – AObeats

The only vaguely-Halloween item I’m going to post, and the one of best tracks I heard all day. Mandatory listening.

Automatic ft. Jewels – youthfulimplants

October 30, 2012 · Looking Glass Network

Sultry vocals and a smooth, eerie vibe. Yup, this is just what I need.

Wine Teeth (Rankin Remix) – Ace Future & Rankin

October 30, 2012 · Looking Glass Network

I’m not really sure how to describe this remix by Rankin. I was expecting something funky and Californian, similar to Stroke The Saber, but instead got an incredible mix of styles. Is it DnB? Is it reggaeton? Is it puerto rican trap? Somehow Ranking manages to take a ton of different influences and bring them together in a highly cohesive package. Enjoy :)

Catch Up With Kutaap: Snakehips, ViLLΛGE, Catching Flies + Spook

October 29, 2012 · kutaap

Hey, guys! I haven’t made a post in a while so I thought I’d share some tracks I’ve really been into lately.

The first track is a Snakehips remix released through Columbia Records. Very catchy bassline with a strong hip hop, almost reminds me of Flume! Do yourself a huge favor and have a listen.

I’m a huge fan of RnB vocals. So when 21 year old producer, ViLLΛGE (Vali Dragomer) uploaded his remix of Usher’s ‘Dive’ I knew we were in for a treat!

This next one has been on repeat. A very chilled remix by Catching Flies, these vocals are so smooth.

Listen and relax.

Lastly we have Spook, keep an eye out for this guy! A young Melbourne garage producer who never fails to impress. Listen to his latest garage track, ‘Onychophagy‘ below.

I’ll also be posting a mix-tape in one of the next few days of some more favorites! So keep an eye out for that :)

What You Want (DRTHVDR’s 115 Moombahcore Remix) – Boys Noize

October 29, 2012 · mabawsa

This week, someone I’ve been following for a long time known as Lumbajacque went all Latin on his Dubstep roots and made some raw Moombahcore under the name of DRTHVDR.  He says this is the start of a new era for him, and I don’t doubt this a bit from looking at the old Lumbajacque stuff. I just hope this stuff keeps on coming cause these basslines are something else.

To all the British Moombahtonistas: keep it coming.

Contact me via my new Soundcloud for a write up – if you’re British and it lives up to the 110 standard.
